A Ring of Oak & Apple Eoin Brady

Where were you when the world ended?

It’s the type of question Fin avoids by staying alone. His only companion now is the dwindling ghost of his girlfriend in a perfume bottle. In an Ireland overrun with weepers, cities are ash, towns are animated graveyards and nothing survives the roads for long.

While searching for loved ones he has no hope of finding, he is hunted by the undead and haunted by the things he has done to get this far. Too far to fail. He thought the rivers were the safest way to travel, until a horde forced him to spend a night on an island with other refugees.

To drown out the sound of weeping on the surrounding shores, survivors tell their stories. Easy conversation, a roaring fire, full bellies and booze – it has the makings of a night to remember, but has the infection already made it to the island?

How can Fin trust these people when he knows there are no more innocent survivors?
