I’ve a tendency to jump from one idea to the next. A perfect example would be the finished first draft of Somniloquent that’s been gathering dust in my drawer for going on four years now. So I’m writing out a strict check list here. If it’s not on this list, I can’t work on it. All the shiny new ideas can wait.
Somniloquent The First Dreamer
Before I ever imagined I could be a writer, this is the story I wanted to tell. Somniloquent has been in my imagination for well over a decade. Right now it’s sitting in first draft form, a daunting 250,000 words. I’’ll need to take out a loan for the amount of red pens I’ll need to edit it.
Basil & Time
I remember being delighted with myself when I came up with this title, but I was swiftly brought back to earth by the thought that I had to actually write the book. It’s a romance that deals with loss, bereavement and coffee shops.
I’m Not Saying It Series
This is just a stand in cover. I haven’t gone back to I’m Not Saying it since it was published back in 2018. I don’t think it was a good starting point for Shades story. She’s a successful travel blogger with limitless finances, where’s the conflict? It’s pure wish fulfillment, but not all that intriguing. So I’m going to go back and make her suffer and struggle to reach her dream; a lifetime of summer.
Weep 2 Slack Jaw
Placeholder cover. Most of this is already written and I know where I’m going with the rest of it, just a case of setting it in ink and editing.
Samantha is going to take us back to the beginning of the outbreak, we’re going to see what it was like in Galway and on The Aran Islands. This installment in the Weep series will focus more on what might have caused the Irish epidemic.

This is a story idea I’ve had for my epic fantasy world, a prequel that gently leads into The First Dreamer. The massive 250,000 word draft I have for The First Dreamer will become book two in that series… Or book three.
